Oshawa shooting leaves one dead

One man is dead following a daylight shooting in downtown Oshawa.
Durham Police announced at 4:05 p.m. January 21, they had shut down the intersection at Central Park Boulevard and King Street East for, “an active police investigation.” The also closed Central Park Boulevard at Athol Street at the same time.

Minutes later, shortly before 4:30, DRPS followed up saying homicide detectives would be on scene shortly. They said one man had been found suffering gunshot wounds.
The man was taken to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The victim has not been identified and police have yet to announce a suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
