Oshawa motorcyclist dead after crash in North Kawartha Township

An Oshawa motorcyclist is dead after a single-vehicle crash in North Kawartha Township Saturday.

Peterborough OPP, firefighters and paramedics responded to a report of a collision on Northeys Bay Road near Fire Route 19, just before 5 p.m. Saturday

A 54-year-old Oshawa resident was declared dead at the scene. Few other details were released by police.

A section of Northeys Bay Road, located northeast of Peterborough on Upper Stoney Lake, was closed in both directions for several hours while investigators were on scene. The road has since reopened and police are asking anyone with information or dash cam footage to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
