Oshawa man hospitalized following ejection from car

An Oshawa man is in hospital after a two car crash crash threw him from the car.

Police responded to Stevenson Rd N and King St W around 6 a.m. this morning after reports came in about the crash. A 54-year-old man had been thrown from his car and suffered serious injuries. He remains in a Toronto trauma-centre in serious but stable condition.

The other driver suffered only minor injuries and remained on scene to cooperate with investigators. The Durham Police Collision Investigation Unit shut down the area, as announced around 6:30 a.m, to collect evidence.

The road remain shut down for more than five hours until it was finally reopened around 11:30 a.m.
