Oshawa man charged with indecent act

A 22-year-old Oshawa man has been arrested following an indecent act in Oshawa last month.

On Wednesday, May 11, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the suspect, who was driving near Thornton Road north of King Street, approached a 17-year-old female pedestrian and asked for directions. The male was performing an indecent act during the interaction.

The victim ran away and contacted police. The suspect drove off.

Investigators from Central West Division identified the suspect and made the arrest today (June 10).

Tamim Shah has been charged with indecent act in a public place and fail to comply with release order. He was held for a bail hearing.
