Oshawa man charged after GO Transit employees assaulted

A 19-year-old Oshawa man is facing two counts of assault after refusing an order from GO Transit security to leave the Oshawa GO station earlier this month.

Durham Police responded to an assault call at the Oshawa GO Station just before one a.m. on July 9 after two GO Transit employees were assaulted. Police were told the suspect was directed to leave the property and refused and allegedly assaulted the two employees before fleeing.

Officers arrived on scene, and with the assistance of the K9 Unit and Air1, searched the area and were able to find the suspect hiding in dense brush and tall grass.

The victims suffered minor injuries.

Emmerson John Forrester is charged with two counts of assault. He was released on an Undertaking.
