Oshawa grandfather wins $100,000 with ENCORE

Forty years of playing the lottery finally paid off for an Oshawa grandfather who won $100,000 with ENCORE in the March 15 LOTTO 6/49 draw.

John Brown matched the last six of seven numbers on ENCORE to win the prize on his favourite lottery game.

Brown, who said he “always adds ENCORE,” was “shocked” when he scanned the ticket and saw ‘$100,000’ appear. “I took my ticket home and told my wife and daughter. They were so happy.”

Brown plans to add his winnings to his retirement fund.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Taunton Road in Oshawa.
