Downtown Oshawa will celebrate the end of summer this year with the blues, namely the four-day Durham Blues Festival taking place inside the beautifully restored Regent Theatre and outside at the adjacent Victoria Street Parkette.

The Durham Blues Festival will take place over four nights/three days from Thursday, September 14 through Sunday September 17 – the week before the Convergence Music & Art Festival takes over Memorial Park and several downtown venues (including the Regent Theatre).

The daytime part of the event is free to the public, and will take place outdoors on Victoria Street, with multiple bands and entertainers performing on the outdoor stage, along with food and craft vendors. Entertainers and guests will be comfortably hosted under a large tent, so the event is guaranteed to proceed rain or shine!

Each evening during the festival headliner acts will be featured in the Regent Theatre. Start times and ticket prices will be on a per event basis. There will also be a subscription discount to purchase tickets for all headlining events.

  • Epic Eagles 2023 – Thursday, September 14 at 8 p.m.
  • The Maple Blues Band – Friday, September 15 at 9 p.m.
  • The Official Blues Brothers Revue – Saturday, September 16 at 9 p.m.
  • Sweet Soul Music – Sunday, September 17 at 8 p.m.

The performers list for the free daytime shows to be determined but there will be a long list of artists who will be playing throughout the days. So far Cold Shot, The Blues Junkies and James Anthony have been confirmed.
