Todd Miller is expected to be named Head Coach of the Oshawa Generals on Tuesday, according to OHL insiders.

Miller will be replacing Greg Walters, who has signed with the Owen Sound Attack as their new bench boss.

Miller spent the past ten years with the Barrie Colts, nine of them as an assistant to Oshawa hockey legend and hockey Hall of Famer Dale Hawerchuk, who died of cancer just before the 2019-20 season got underway.

Sources are also announcing that Kurtis Foster and Dave Matsos will be named assistant coaches. Both have head coaching experience in the league.

Foster, who played 408 games in the NHL, was the Head Coach with the Kingston Frontenacs between 2018-2020 before joining the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL as an assistant last season. Matsos, who had a ten-year career as a player in the minor leagues and in Europe, had head coaching stints in Sudbury and Hamilton, as well as in England.

No word yet on the fate of current Oshawa assistant coaches Greg Nemisz and Nathan McIvor.
