The Oshawa Generals may be down 2-0 in their first round playoff series with the powerhouse Ottawa 67s but the team can take solace from a more complete performance in game two as the Generals and goalie Jacob Oster withstood extreme 67s pressure to make it close, ultimately falling 3-2 at the Slush Puppie Centre in Gatineau, Quebec, the Ottawa club’s temporary home while the World Curling Championships are going on.

The effort was a far cry from the flat performance in game one when Ottawa won in a romp, 7-0.

Former Hamilton Bulldog Logan Morrison led Ottawa with the opening goal in the second period and the game winner in the third as Ottawa survived a late press and a Calum Ritchie goal with just over nine minutes to play to take the victory.

Rookie Beckett Sennecke scored the other Oshawa goal while Will Gerrior had Ottawa’s second score.

The series shifts to Oshawa and the Tribute Communities Centre for games three and four Tuesday and Thursday.
