After a nearly 18-month pandemic-induced break, the Oshawa Generals are back on the ice.

Training camp for the storied Ontario Hockey League team opens today and the club is hosting a six-pack of scrimmages over the next two days before the Red v White game takes centre stage on Thursday.

All scrimmages and games will take place at the Tribute Communities Centre.

Camp will be split into three squads for the scrimmages: Team Cirelli, Team Jenner and Team Tavares. Each of the squads is named after a former team captain and current NHL’er.

The first scrimmage today is Team Tavares v Team Cirelli at 11:30, followed by Team Jenner v Team Tavares at 4:30 and Team Jenner v Team Cirelli at 6. Scrimmage times will be the same on Wednesday.

Fans wishing to watch the scrimmages must first complete a COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire to enter the facility. The online self-screening questionnaire must be completed within a two-hour window prior to doors opening for the event.

  • One questionnaire needs to be completed per person attending.
  • Results will show up on the screen upon completion and must be shown to security at the door to gain entry.
  • If you do not have a mobile device, you can show a printed copy of your results.
  • If you do not have access to a mobile device or a printer, you can complete the survey in person at the door; however, this will be a slower process.

Fans will be directed to sections 112-116 and must find a socially distanced seat in those sections only and masks must be properly worn at all times.
