Oshawa driver critically injured after multi-vehicle crash in Scugog

A driver from Oshawa has been seriously injured following a recent collision.

Whitby OPP say a 39 year old driver rear-ended a vehicle on Highway 12 in Scugog, then crossed into oncoming lanes and collided with a pickup truck.

The driver remains in critical condition at this time.

The two occupants in the truck, a 36-year-old and 9-year-old, were uninjured.

The highway has since reopened and police are continuing to investigate.
