Oshawa condo tops list for most affordable home sold in December

A studio apartment in north Oshawa’s university district took top honours for the most affordable home sold in the GTA in December, according to real estate company Zoocasa.

The condo apartment, located at 1900 Simcoe St. N (#705) sold on December 12 for $265,000.

The 500 sq. ft. apartment comes completely furnished (including a television and desk), with laminate flooring, new appliances and a Murphy bed that converts to a dining area.

Taxes for the unit are $2,153 with $272 per month maintenance fees. Internet is included in the maintenance fees.

Homes on Galloway Road and Keele St. W. in Toronto, Bristol Rd. E in Mississauga and McLaughlin Road in Brampton also made the top five most affordable homes list.

A custom built home on Inglewood Drive that sold for $7,250,000 and a palatial estate on Sandfield Road that was released at $7,220,000 top the list for more most expensive homes sold in the GTA in December.

Both homes are in Toronto.

Rounding out the top five are homes in King Township, Vaughan and another in Toronto.
