OPP ROPE squad after man known to frequent Durham Region for breach of day parole

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement squad of Ontario Provincial Police is on the lookout for a man they say has skipped out on his day parole, who is known to frequent Durham Region.

The OPP put out the call around noon January 25, alerting the public to the missing man.

They’re after James Park, 31, described by police as a six-foot tall Black man, roughly 250 lbs with brown eyes and black hair.

Park was in the midst of serving a four year and eight month prison sentence for offenses including;

  • possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition
  • possession of a schedule I/II substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition order
  • failure to comply with recognizance order

Police say Park is known to frequent the Durham, Peterborough and Toronto areas. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts can call the OPP ROPE squad at 416-808-5900 or toll free at 1-866-870-7673 (ROPE) or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
