OPP Recovers Body of Brampton Man Following Suspected Drowning

The OPP have recovered a Brampton man from the waters of Wasaga Beach. 

The OPP have recovered a Brampton man from the waters of Wasaga Beach. 

On July 1 at approximately 7:45 p.m, the Huronia West Detachment of the OPP, Simcoe EMS and Wasaga Beach Fire received a call of a man who had gone swimming but did not return at Beach Area 1 in the town of Wasaga Beach.

Emergency services attended the scene and discovered the man in the water without vital signs. He was then transported to a local hospital.

The victim, Rupesh Narula, a 25-year-old Brampton resident, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

His death has been deemed as an accidental drowning.
