OPP pulled over uninsured driver on QEW near St. Catharines who ‘assumed my ex’ had paid for it

At roughly 11 am today (February 1), the Niagara OPP pulled over a driver on the QEW stretch along St Catharines.

While the driver was ostensibly pulled over for distracted driving, it turned they were also uninsured.

The reason the driver gave to the officer: “I just assumed my ex was paying for it.”

The OPP had to hashtag this one: #Distracted, #NoInsurance and finally #NeverAssume
