OPP officer injured after being struck by car in Hamilton during traffic stop

An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer sustained minor injuries after being struck by a car during a traffic stop on the 403 in Hamilton Monday night (Jan. 31).
According to a Tweet from the OPP’s Highway Safety Division, the officer from the Burlington OPP detachment was assisting the driver of another car when their cruiser, with its lights flashing, was struck by a car passing by the scene.
Photos from the scene show a badly damaged police cruiser and another car flipped on its roof near the Main Street overpass on the 403.
The officer sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to hospital. No other injuries have been reported.
