OPP looking for witnesses after 57-year-old woman hit outside her car on QEW at Fort Erie

The Niagara OPP are asking the public and early morning commuters for help after a 57-year-old woman was struck by a transport trailer this morning (April 3) at 6 am on the southbound QEW in Fort Erie.
The police say she was outside her car on the shoulder of the road near Gilmore Rd in Fort Erie when she was hit. She is now in the hospital with “life-altering injuries.”
Police are hoping that someone saw the accident or have dashcam footage. If so, call the Niagara OPP at 905-356-1311.
