OPP investigating collision between school bus and van in Whitby

The Whitby OPP are investigating a collision that took place between a school bus and a work van at Highway 412 and Highway 7 this morning (March 9).

While there were elementary school students onboard the bus at the time, the police said that the paramedics treated them and said “only minor injuries reported.”

Apparently, the bus was pulling off Hwy 412 when it struck the eastbound van on Hwy 7.

The OPP said the van did have the right of way and they are “investigating if school bus rolled through the stop sign.”
