Opal back home safe in Port Perry after tip from public

Thanks to a tip from the public Opal – and the truck he was riding in – have both been reunited with their owners.

Opal, a nine-month-old Australian Shepherd, was in the back of a 2015 Dodge RAM pickup when it was stolen near Port Perry last week.

Durham Police investigators had been working the case with the OPP when the tip came in.
