Ontario’s ‘Colour of the Year’ has been announced

For many Canadians, sticking the landing concerning a solid paint color is one of the most important aspects of interior design, and in a recent announcement by Home Hardware, Ontario-based paint manufacturer BeautiTone has just unveiled their 2024 colour of the year.
Simply called ‘Pacific,’ this dark hue of blue is, at a glance, meant to invoke the sensation of a deep, still and serene ocean. As indicated by BeautiTone representatives, the goal of the shade was to remain timeless so that any modifications made to or around the tint would be seamless.
“For several years now, Canadians have embraced neutral tones on the exteriors of their homes, but with ‘Pacific’ we have entered a new, more vibrant era,” said Kristen Gear, Lead Design & Colour Specialist for BeautiTone in an official release.
Pacific taking the win is not all too surprising, as 2023’s winner was the collection dubbed ‘Moments,’ a full spectrum of soft colors invoking a sense of nature, as indicated by data from Home Hardware.
According to BeutiTone, one of the major benefits of Pacific is its tandem relationship with most contemporary architecture, making it a robust and low-stress shade to apply to almost any corner of one’s home.
