The Ontario Works Office in Oshawa’s Midtown Mall is temporarily closed due to watermain work in the area, exactly four months since the office shut down for a week due to flooding.
This week’s closure is not expected to last that long though no date was provided for re-opening.
The Ontario Works Office at Midtown Mall closed June 4 due to watermain work in the surrounding area with the agency advising that services and supports can be accessed at Region of Durham Headquarters on Rossland Road in Whitby.
Clients can call 311 for more information.
A week-long closure of the office in February was due to flooding and the subsequent clean-up, with the office re-opening to the public on Feb. 11.
Clients had been visiting the Community Resource Centre on the second floor of the mall to access limited supports, with most of the services moving to the regional headquarters.
