Ontario reporting 61 new COVID-19 cases in Mississauga and Brampton

Ontario is reporting 61 new COVID-19 cases in Peel Region as of Wednesday (September 15).

As of Wednesday, the Province is reporting 593 new cases in Ontario, as well as five new deaths.

Of Wednesday’s new cases, 141 are in Toronto, 61 are in Peel Region, 46 are in Ottawa, 45 are in Windsor Essex, and 39 are in York Region.

Additionally, with 33,220 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate down to 1.73 per cent. This is the first time it has been under two per cent in four weeks.

Further, the Province is reporting another 35,691 vaccinations. As of Wednesday, 75 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 86 per cent of adults, and 80 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
