Ontario reporting 289 fewer people in hospital due to COVID-19, five more in ICU

The Province is reporting a decrease of 289 people in hospital with COVID-19 from the day before.

Additionally, as of Monday (September 13), 189 people are currently in the ICU due to complications associated with the virus, which is an increase of five from the previous day.

Of those who are in hospital, 159 are unvaccinated, while 12 have received one dose, and 42 have received both doses.

Additionally, of those in the ICU, 103 are unvaccinated, while eight have received one dose, and 15 have received both doses.

As of Monday, 84 per cent of Ontarians eligible to be vaccinated (those ages 12 and older) have received one dose of a vaccine, and 78 per cent have received both.
