It was recently announced that the Ontario government is investing $3.6 million in the Halton District School Board (HDSB) for an expansion to a new elementary school in Milton.

The investment for Milton SE #13 Public Elementary School, was announced by Parm Gill, MPP for Milton and will support the creation of 138 student spaces.

The school was approved back in February with 788 elementary student spaces and 88 childcare spaces.

“The addition at Milton SE #13 Public Elementary School will provide choice and flexibility for families and new opportunities for the children of Milton,” said Parm Gill, MPP for Milton.

“Since 2018 our government has fought hard for families in Milton, and I will continue to be a strong voice for our community.”

The Ontario government has invested more than $250 million in capital investments for new schools and school expansions in Milton. This is the fifth new school expansion in the Town since 2018.

This investment is also part of the Ontario government’s commitment to providing $14 billion to support school construction over ten years.

“We are building new schools, building more affordable child care spaces, and building hope and opportunity for Ontario students as they learn in more normal and safer classrooms,” said Stephen Lecce, Minister of Education.

“We believe that students deserve to learn in person in state-of-the-art facilities that are internet-connected, accessible, with modern ventilation systems, which is why our government is delivering a major investment that accelerates construction to get it done for parents, students, and communities.”

Milton SE #13 Public Elementary School will be located at Louis St. Laurent Blvd. and Trudeau Dr. in Milton.
