Online phone sale ends in alleged assault, robbery in Georgetown

Halton police are investigating after an online phone sale resulted in an alleged assault and robbery in Georgetown.
According to police, the robbery occurred on Oct. 7 at approximately 10:45 p.m.
Constable Ryan Anderson, Media Relations Officer for Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), told insauga.com that the victim was selling a phone online and arranged a pickup at their residence.
According to Anderson, two suspects entered the residence and attempted to grab the phone and run away.
Anderson said that after a struggle ensued, the victim was punched by one of the suspects before they fled in a vehicle with the phone.
A possible third suspect was waiting in the vehicle, according to Anderson.
The first suspect is described as a Black male with a slim build, between 5’9 to 5’10 with black hair and was wearing a black top and red pants.
The second suspect is described as a Black male with a slim build, between 5’9 to 5’10 and was wearing black clothes and a black hat.
