One suspect charged in Ajax mugging while another remains at large

One man has been charged in an Ajax robbery last fall, while another suspect remains at large.

The pair allegedly held a lone man at gunpoint and robbed him of his cash near Kingston Rd. and Westney Rd, shortly before 7 a.m. on Sept. 22. The victim was not hurt physically.

Durham Regional Police later learned the pair fled the scene in a black Jeep Cherokee with white dealer plates.

On Mar. 23, police announced they had charged Anmol Singh, 22 of Edmonton, is charged with robbery. Meanwhile, a warrant has been issued for Jashandeep Singh, 21 of no fixed address. Investigators believe he is staying in the Kingston area.
