One pulled from vehicle driven into Lake Ontario in Whitby

One is in hospital after they were pulled from a car driven into Lake Ontario in Whitby.
Police responded to the end of Whitby’s Lakeridge Rd, on the cusp of the Town’s border with Ajax, around noon April 1 after a car was reported in the the water.
The car’s occupant was removed from the vehicle and taken to a Toronto hospital. Police have shut down the area while they pulled the car from the lake. DRPS advises drivers to avoid the area.
Officers from Central East responded to reports of a vehicle being driven into Lake Ontario at the end of Lakeridge Road in Whitby shortly before noon.
