One person seriously injured in Oakville shooting, suspects on the run

Police are on scene for a shooting in Oakville this evening (Jan. 16).

Shortly after 6:15 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in front of a residence in the area of Zachary Crescent and Post Road.

One victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries from multiple gunshot wounds.

“Two suspects fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival and remain outstanding at this time,” said police, who consider the suspects to be armed and dangerous.

There is no suspect description at this time.

Police believe this was a targeted shooting.
