Shooting in Brampton leaves one person dead

Police are on scene of a shooting in Brampton that has left one person dead.
Peel Regional Police say the shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of Wanless Drive and Hurontario Street.
Police said confirmed that one person was shot and has been pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers and paramedics are on scene, and police said there is no suspect information at this time.
A spokesperson for Peel Paramedics confirmed first responders were called to the area but said no one was transported to hospital.
Police said the Homicide Bureau has been called in and officers are scheduled to give an update shortly after 4:00 p.m.
