One person dead in Brampton house fire

Police say one adult has died following a two-alarm house fire in Brampton.

Shortly after noon on Oct. 21, Peel police said that all occupants of a home that caught fire on Hollybush Street near Fernforest Drive earlier in the day were accounted for, but that one adult is deceased.

According to police, another adult and two youths were transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

The blaze prompted road closures in the area.

Police say that Brampton Fire and Emergency Services will be on scene for some time and the Ontario Fire Marshal has been informed.

Information on the cause of the fire has not yet been released.
