One person dead after Monday morning house fire in Oshawa

One person is dead after a house fire on Court Street in Oshawa Monday morning.
Four Oshawa Fire Services vehicles are on the scene and have requested assistance from both the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office and Durham Police. “We can confirm there is one fatality,” Oshawa Fire declared.
The blaze began about 10 a.m. on the residential street, located at the southern edge of the city’s downtown off Bruce Street and just south of the Tribute Communities Centre.
There is no word yet on how the fire started or how the victim died.
