One pedestrian dead following a two vehicle crash in St. Catharines

Niagara Regional Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance with an ongoing collision investigation in St. Catharines involving two motor vehicles that struck a pedestrian and left him dead, early this morning.

On Saturday (Apr. 1) at approximately 12:30 a.m., police along with paramedics and fire and emergency services responded to a collision on Ontario St/Linwell Rd, in St. Catharines.

After further investigations, police believe a 32-year-old resident of St. Catharines was walking near the intersection when he was struck by two vehicles travelling southbound on Ontario St.

The pedestrian whose identity has not been made available to the public was pronounced deceased at-the-scene.

Details surrounding the circumstances are unknown at this time officers say, as the case still under investigation.
