One of Toronto’s most popular restaurants opening in Mississauga

One of Toronto’s most popular restaurants is coming to Mississauga.

PAI, a Michelin-recognized Thai restaurant of extreme popularity, has been calling several corners of Toronto home for the last few years.

Launched by Chef Nuit Regular, of MasterChef fame, PAI has become a touchstone in the big city for just how good Canada’s best food scene can truly get — and now that standard of quality is heading to the Square One Shopping Centre.

According to an official press release, the new location, anchored in the retail hotspot, will feature 88 indoor seats and a 30-seat semi-enclosed patio, all in an effort to set the standard for other PAI locations across the GTA while maintaining its own design and personality.

“Mississauga holds a special place in my heart because it’s where my life in Canada began. Bringing PAI here feels like coming home, and we’re excited to welcome both new and longtime guests to experience the flavours, traditions, and warm hospitality of Northern Thailand,” said Chef Nuit Regular, Executive Chef and Co-Founder of PA, in a statement.

In terms of what guests can expect, PAI has become synonymous with dishes like ‘Chef Nuit’s Pad Thai,’ with a base of tamarind, palm sugar, and chives and sprouts, ‘Khao Soi,’ a robust coconut curry with noodles and braised beef, as well as ‘Moo Ping,’ marinated pork skewers.

While this new location is set to host PAI’s long-standing menu, the release mentioned that new offerings will be announced closer to opening, which will be sure to catch the eye of those across the GTA.

The new PAI is set to open in fall 2026 at Square One Shopping Centre, with more details to follow in the year.
