A hotspot that has become, arguably, one of Toronto’s most popular pizzerias has announced plans to give out free slices for a limited time only.
Today, potato chip giant Miss Vickie’s announced that as part of its ongoing collaboration with Pizzeria Badiali, diners will get the chance to grab complimentary slices of the pizzeria’s signature vodka sauce pizza alongside the chip company’s matching vodka sauce-flavoured kettle-cooked chips.
The collaboration was announced last year when the chip company introduced its take on the vodka sauce pizza. While Badiali is famous for its gourmet takes on New York-style slices, the restaurant is most well-known for what many call its crowning achievement: the Vodka Pie, which is served with spicy vodka rosé sauce, fior di latte, pecorino, padano, and Sicilian oregano.
In a news release, the chip company said the event marks the return of its Ristoranti Series to where one of its signature flavours began.
Long before the unique collaboration began turning heads, Pizzeria Badiali started making headlines. The in-demand pizzeria, located near Toronto’s trendy Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhood on Dovercourt Road, has seen lineups around the block for nearly five years.
Slices from Badiali have been in such high demand that earlier this summer, a second location was opened in the historic Mirvish Village in Toronto.
The second location is part of a banner year for the much-lauded brand.
In June, Ryan Baddeley, the culinary mind behind the viral pizzeria, was named one of the top 100 pizza chefs in the world and recognized at The Best Pizza, a major annual ceremony in Milan, Italy.
The event — which sees chefs from all over the world — highlights masters of the craft, boundary pushers, and up-and-coming chefs who have launched their respective pizzerias into the national spotlight.
Baddeley is no stranger to the competition, having placed 32nd and 51st in the top 100 in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
The chef placed 59th this year, earning a three-year streak of staying in the top 100 worldwide.
The Ristoranti Series pizza and chip giveaway will take place at 581 Markham St. on July 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m, or as long as supplies last.
