One of the most popular shops in Japan and across the globe is opening soon in Toronto.

Pop Mart, known for collectible toys and figurines featuring characters like Labubu, Molly and Skullpanda, and “blind box” format, is opening two new stores in Toronto — CF Toronto Eaton Centre and CF Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke.

Labubu, an elf-like monster figurine created by artist Kasing Lung, soared in popularity in 2024. Celebrities such as Rihanna,  Dua Lipa and Blackpink’s Lisa have been seen with the figurines on their bags.

The Pop Mart company, founded in China in 2010, is wildly popular in Asia, with new items often selling out. In Japan, customers need to enter a lottery to enter the store on product launch days. It has rapidly expanded with stores opening in U.S., New Zealand, the UK, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines.

The first Pop Mart location in Canada opened in December 2025 in Richmond, B.C.

The first Ontario location opened in Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills in March.

There is a Robo Shop (vending machine) on the second floor of Square One Shopping Centre near The Body Shop. Another Robo Shop is in Scarborough Town Centre.

At least two more stores are expected to open in Toronto.

A Pop Mart is “opening soon” on level 1, near the Body Shop, in the Eaton Centre.

Hoarding has also gone up at Sherway Gardens, announcing that a Pop Mart store is opening soon near the Lush and Uniqlo in the mall.
