Paint The Town Red, one of the biggest Canada Day events is coming back to Mississauga's Port Credit

Canada Day is coming up fast, and Mississauga’s Port Credit has already planned an exciting array of events with Paint The Town Red: The massive celebration that has regularly brought tens of thousands of visitors to Port Credit since 2003.

It all kicks off on July 1st with a huge parade, exciting events for the whole family at Port Credit’s Memorial Park, and a beautiful fireworks display to close the night out – making this one of the most hotly anticipated Canada Day celebrations in the GTA.

There’s still plenty of time for residents to register to be part of the parade, or to become a volunteer for the event.

Here’s a closer look at everything that’s happening this year:

A colourful parade of more than 70 diverse entries.

This year’s Canada Day parade will feature a ton of colourful floats, cultural marching bands, performance groups, Mississauga businesses, youth, and community groups who are all in participation. Local, provincial, and federal political representatives will also be in attendance. The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. sharp and will travel predominantly along Lakeshore Rd. East.
