Burlington car show downtown

An annual tradition in Burlington won’t be happening this year.

The Downtown Burlington Car Show, which usually runs the second weekend in July, has been cancelled.

A post on the show’s website states the event was cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of organizers.

Steve Cussons of the Rebels Classic Car & Hot Rod Club, who has presented the show in the past, was unavailable for comment.

However, the website suggests every effort will be made to bring back the car show in 2025.

The car show is a favourite in Burlington attracting thousands each year who come out to see vehicles that have become classics not only for their looks and design but the way they have been lovingly maintained by enthusiasts over the years.

Muscle cars, custom builds, exotics and early models are regularly featured as well as a few modern car specials. More than 200 vehicles are usually on display along downtown streets.

Last year a valuable McLaren Senna was featured as well as a unique Viper.

The show is a not-for-profit event with all funds raised going to local organizations.
