One man dead, another in hospital after two-car crash in Hamilton

A man has been killed and another was rushed to hospital after a serious collision in Hamilton last night (April 25).

Hamilton Police say officers were called to the intersection of Barton St. East and MacNab St. North shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday for reports of a two-car collision.

Police say two men were rushed from the scene to hospital in critical condition, but a 73-year-old crash victim died of his injuries. Police say a 45-year-old man remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.

Pictures shared online from the crash scene show a white car and what appears to be an SUV with significant damage while officers examine the wreckage.

Police are investigating the crash and are asking anyone who may have information about the incident or dashcam or CCTV footage of the area to contact the Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753.
