Niagara Regional Police are asking the public for assistance in locating a suspect connected to an alleged violent assault that occurred at a St. Catharines restaurant patio in July that sent one patron with serious injuries to the hospital.
On July 10 (2023) shortly before 9 p.m., Niagara Regional Police Service responded to an unknown 911 call at a restaurant patio on St. Paul St. between James St. and Garden Pk.
Police say a 60-year-old man was discovered with serious injuries and subsequently transported to a local hospital. Fortunately, he has since been released.
According to investigators, the restaurant patio was filled with patrons when a minor verbal disagreement took place between the victim and an unidentified suspect.

At the time of the incident, police believe the suspect was wearing a large long sleeved black t-shirt with a logo in the front, blue jeans and white Adidas sneakers.
