A late-night crash in Brampton has left one person dead and several others with serious injuries.
Peel Regional Police say a two-vehicle collision happened at the intersection of McVean Drive and Countryside Drive around 10:44 p.m. Saturday.

One occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Several other people involved in the crash were taken to trauma centres with serious and life-threatening injuries.
Police have not said how many people were involved or what may have led to the collision.
The intersection remains closed as investigators work to piece together what happened. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
More information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
