One dead in 2 car collision that closes major intersection in Brampton

Peel Regional Police have confirmed that one woman has died and two others injured following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Brampton this morning.

On Saturday (Apr. 29) shortly before 8 a.m., police responded to a collision in the area of Sandalwood Pky / Hurontario St in Brampton.

Police say two vehicles were involved in the crash which left one woman dead while another woman and man were rushed to the hospital after suffering serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The identities of the individuals involved have not been released by police.

Investigators have closed off the intersection temporarily and say it could be up to several hours before roadways are open and accessible again to motorists.

Driver’s are urged to take alternate routes for the time being.

-Adult Ml and Fml taken to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
