One arrest made in St. Catharines ‘multiple’ stabbing after argument

One man was badly injured today (August 22) when an argument in a St. Catharines home saw him get stabbed “multiple” times.

When the police landed in the Albert and Lake Streets area, EMS was already at the scene treated the man. He was rushed to a trauma hospital outside the Niagara Region where he remains in serious but stable condition.

After investigating, the police went to the home and charged one man.

Robert Stockwell, 48, of St. Catharines was charged with aggravated assault.

He is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on August 23 at the courthouse in St. Catharines.
