One Ajax public school still without power will remain closed

And there was one.

Southwood Park Public School in south Ajax will remain closed today, a decision made by the Durham District School Board “to protect the health and safety of students, parents/guardians and staff due to the impact of the storm.”

Valley View PS in Pickering and Uxbridge PS, which were both closed Wednesday, will be open today as power has been restored.

Once again, the board thanked all those “working tirelessly around the clock” to restore power. “We would also like to thank those who have assisted neighbours during this challenging time.”
