A drive-thru Olympics-inspired celebration of diversity, inclusion and equity is happening this Saturday at the Durham Children’s Aid Society parking lot in north Oshawa.

Rings of Hope will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and promises fun for the whole family, with a special emphasis on children’s activities.

The drive-thru stations include Colouring Champions, which offers a colouring contest and swag for the kids; and All Around the World, with interactive maps to show where your family originates from, as well as an opportunity to donate foreign currency to support mental health programs as part of Currency for Kids.

Podium Smiles – where you can have your pictures taken with local sports celebrities; and Shoot for Gold follow. At Shoot for Gold the kids can shoot a few hoops, try their best kick in soccer or maybe play a little volleyball or hockey for prizes.

Sponsors of the event include Sport Durham, Ontario Basketball, Ontario Tech Ridgebacks, Field Hockey Ontario, Rotary Club of Ajax, Rugby Ontario and Durham Children’s Aid Society.
