Oakville native Nathan Rourke has been named the CFL’s top performer for the final week of the 2021 regular season.

The B.C. Lions quarterback threw for a touchdown and ran for three more in a 43-10 romp over the visiting Edmonton Elks on Friday.

Making just his second start, Rourke completed 23 of his 34 passes for 359 yards.

The 22-year-old attended Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School in Oakville before transferring to Edgewood Academy in Elmore, Alabama for his senior season.

A second-round pick (15th overall) of the Lions in the 2020 CFL Draft, Rourke was passed over in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Winnipeg running back Johnny Augustine and Ottawa defensive lineman Davon Coleman were also named top performers.

Augustine rushed for a career-high 148 yards as Winnipeg concluded its regular season with a 13-12 loss to Calgary on Saturday.

Coleman recovered two key fumbles in Ottawa’s 19-18 come-from-behind victory over Montreal on Friday.
