London Knights forward and Oakville native Luke Evangelista was named the OHL Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The Nashville Predators prospect recorded six goals, four assists and 10 points in three games with a plus/minus rating of plus-6.

The Knights, returning to action for the first time since Jan. 23, won all three weekend games with Evangelista leading the way in scoring in all three contests.

The six-foot, 171-pound right winger had a power-play goal in a 5-1 win over the Windsor Spitfires on Friday, before recording a career-high five points, including a hat trick and two assists, in a 6-3 doubling up of the Kitchener Rangers on Saturday.

Evangelista wrapped up his big weekend with a four-point effort in an 8-3 road win over the Owen Sound Attack. The 19-year-old scored twice into an empty net and added a pair of assists to extend his point streak to seven games.

A second round (42nd overall) pick of the Nashville Predators in the 2020 NHL Draft, Evangelista is fourth in overall OHL scoring with 64 (32-32–64) and leads OHL players with 2.06 points-per-game.

He has now surpassed his 2019-20 point total of 61 (23-38–61) recorded over 62 games in his 31st game of the season on Sunday.

Evangelista is tied for the OHL goal-scoring lead with 32 tallies in just 31 games.

The third-year forward signed a three-year entry level NHL contract with the Predators in November 2020.
