Oakville’s Donville named to All-American lacrosse team

Oakville’s Jonathan Donville is a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Preseason Media All-American.

The midfielder, who was named to the Third Team, is one of five Maryland Terrapins selected to the USILA All-American team.

He joins teammates Logan Wisnauskas (First Team), Roman Puglise (First Team), Brett Makar (First Team) and Kyle Long (Second Team).

Donville is scheduled to make his Terrapin debut this month after transferring from Cornell for his final season of collegiate lacrosse in 2022.

a first overall pick in the 2021 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft, the six-foot, 195-pound Graduate Student did not play last season.

Though he did garner USILA All-American Second Team honors after recording 13 goals and seven assists for 20 points in 2020.

He was selected as Cornell team captain during his junior campaign in 2020.

Donville joins a Terrapins program that finished 15-1 a season ago. Maryland is ranked No. 2 in the USILA Preseason Top-20 poll.
