Oakville woman pronounced dead after being struck by train in Milton

Halton police are reporting a fatal train collision that happened overnight in Milton on Saturday, July 10.

Around 1:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the railway tracks in the area of Bronte St N and Steeles Ave in Milton.

“A 911 call was received that a pedestrian had been struck by a CP freight train,” said police.

Emergency services have confirmed that a 42 year old Oakville woman was struck and killed by a westbound train.

Halton police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating this incident with assistance from CP police.

The victim’s identity will not be released by police at this time.
