A local organization that provides students with funding support for their education announced its scholarship recipients for 2021.

On Thursday, the Oakville chapter of the Canadian Federation for University Women (CFUW) announced the 15 recipients who will receive a scholarship.

This year $26,000 was raised through donations and fundraising to help the students, which the CFUW-Oakville says is an increase from last year.

The young female recipients are selected from the city’s publicly funded high schools, based on high academic achievement, outstanding community service, and demonstrated leadership.
