Oakville restaurant reportedly evacuated due to fire

A popular Oakville sushi restaurant had to be evacuated after a roof fire the afternoon of Thursday, March 21.

The Oakville Fire Department confirmed crews responded to Spoon & Fork, a Japanese/Thai restaurant located on Trafalgar Road, south of Dundas Street.

The department said contractors were replacing some roofing material and a fire broke out.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire and contractors are now replacing the small section where the fire had started.

There were no injuries.
